There are several opportunities to play rated chess this weekend. Come join us.

On Saturday, there will be a G/60 tournament, sponsored by Albuquerque Chess Club, and a G/30 scholastic tourney, sponsored by Empire Chess Club. Both events will be at AIMS Academy.

Four Corners Chess Club will host a G/60 tournament on Sunday in Farmington.

More information can be found on our tournament page.

The next NMCO board meeting will be Sunday, April 14, at the New Mexico Women's Open and All-Girls Scholastic Championship. It will start after the last game of the women's open, around 7:15pm. The location is AIMS @ UNM, 933 Bradbury Dr SE, Albuquerque.

Tomorrow, and every Thursday night, Albuquerque Chess Club hosts its Thursday Night Quads rated tournament. It runs from 5:45 - 8:45pm and consists of three G/30 games.

It brings out players of all skill levels. An attempt is made to pair players with others near their rating. It is a great event for experienced players and those new to rated tournaments.

Check out last week's results or the Lichess broadcast of the top quad.
