Hey all,
The Desert Knight is now available under the “Desert Knight Magazine” option on this site https://www.nmchess.org/desert-knight-magazine/. My extensive thanks to everyone who worked on this issue, especially Matt Grinberg and Andrew Flores, who put a great deal of time into making this issue. Any feedback, positive or negative, is welcome and will be kept in mind when I’m making the next issue.
Holiday cheers everyone,
Doug Thigpen
Thank you for bringing The Desert Knight back!
I appreciate everyone that worked on this issue- thank you for your contributions! I especially like Andrew’s suggestions for a chess
New Year’s Resolution- I will strive to play 20 more games this coming
year! Perhaps, I can even reach my 1800 rating! 🙂
Happy Holidays and Happy Reading! 🙂
Nice work — and much appreciated.
As someone who played quite a few scholastic and open tournaments in the 1980’s, I remember well the enjoyment of receiving those old colored folded paper versions of the Desert Knight in the mail and reading them cover-to-cover many times. I think I’ve still got a cardboard box full of them somewhere in my garage.
Thank you for bringing that NM Chess tradition back by resurrecting the Desert Knight. Really well done.
Wow! Great job guys. Some really good information in PDF format. I already sent the PDF to a lot guys in our Saturday chess club who are mainly just club players now. I am sure everyone will find something of interest in this Desert Knight issue!
